Calgary Moving Company Moving Tips - Packing Materials in a Nutshell

There are many components to a successful move. Hiring the right company is the most important decision you can make, hint - hint ...

The second most important decision is to understand how to pack your possessions. Now, when packing, the most appropriate packing materials are essential. Here's a rundown of the top packing materials:

Foam Sheeting: Made of polyethylene and very light, foam sheeting forms a cushion for light and fragile items.

Kraft Paper: excellent and inexpensive form of filler when packing items in boxes. Great for filling in the spaces so that items don't shift around, like books

Encapsulated Air Plastic Sheeting: Otherwise known as "bubble-wrap". Consists of tiny captured air bubbles between two sealed poly sheets. It's versatile and can form any shape, however, it's only effective for light or medium weight as heavier products will pop the bubbles.

Corrugated Board: A very common form of packing materials. Essentially corrugated cardboard laminated together to form blocks. Designed for heavier items.

There you have it. Packing materials in a nutshell. Light, medium and heavy weights all taken care of ... that is, after all, what it's all about ... being careful with your possessions.

Did we mention that boxes and packing materials are free with any Careful Movers move?
